About me Diane Lampitt
My name is Diane Lampitt
I am a trained Spiritual Director, SoulCollage® facilitator, and Certified Veriditas Labyrinth facilitator. I am drawn to the interplay between spirituality and creativity and I am passionate about creating environments for healing, growth and community.
My interest in all things creative began at a young age, only I was unable to embrace and nurture my creative imagination until many years later. It was in a graduate course entitled "The Aesthetic Dimension of Religious Education" taught by Dr. Maria Harris, where I encountered the power of the religious imagination. Since then, I have continued to integrate the creative process within my life's work as an educator, facilitator and leader. In 2011, I was introduced to Visio Divina, (Latin for "divine seeing") with the illuminations in The Saint John's Bible. This process of sacred seeing affirmed my experience of the arts and imagination as a doorway that opens my heart to the Spirit of God.
My professional background & experience
My whole life has prepared me for this moment -- Creating Soul Space. I recently renewed my certificate in spiritual direction at the Hesychia School of Spiritual Direction, in Tucson, AZ. My professional background includes serving as a parish director of religious education, a diocesan director, along with a variety of leadership roles in the field of Catholic Curriculum publishing.
